With the holidays rapidly approaching, I am preparing myself to be asked “what do you want for Christmas?”. In addition to the holidays, Kevin and I recently got engaged, so I have been trying to narrow down what to ask for. In preparation for this, as someone who never knows what to ask for, I had created a note on my phone to break down a live list of things I have been wanting but not bought for myself. Here is a peek at those lists and the things I am eyeing this holiday season! I have added some paid Amazon links to all of these products if you are interested in getting any yourself.
Records
The first category in my list is for records I have been wanting. I absolutely love my record player, and have an amazing stereo system from my grandparents. The records I have been eyeing are Tusk by Fleetwood Mac, Bad Girls by Donna Summer, 52nd Street by Billy Joel, and Elton John Best Hits Vol. 1.
These are some of my favorite artists, and as I have begun to collect my favorite albums from these artists, I am starting to branch out to other favorite albums as well.
Clothes
I have a few clothes items I have been looking at that I just have not had the chance to buy for myself yet.
The first item is a red sweater/cardigan. I have seen the red sweater get popular this fall, and have always loved the color on me. Majority of the sweaters/cardigans I own are basic dark colors, so I want to expand my color profile. I really badly want some sleep shorts and have had my eye on the Pleasing sleep shorts. They look super comfy and I will always support my Harry.
The next few items are a bit silly goofy, but are a need in my closet. The first being this tshirt I saw on Instagram of a Kermit the Frog meme (if someone wants to get this for me…). Another silly shirt on Etsy I have been eyeing is the Nicole Kidman AMC ad tshirt. So silly, but so perfect in my wardrobe.
Things
Next category I have is simply “things”. These are items that are more miscellaneous.
First being (again) a Pleasing item, this time the new perfume that was launched. I need to know how this smells, and as a new perfume girlie, I want to diversify my collection. Second, is a Chicago Cubs baseball cap. Yes, I know, I am a Yankee gal first and always, but I love a baseball hat and gotta support my Chicago side!
Next is a new red lipstick from Trixie Cosmetics. I have been dying to buy a Trixie Mattel product for ages, and feel like I want a nice red lip color. Then I have these Lotus grocery bags that allow you to simply organize your grocery cart while you shop. I absolutely love grocery shopping, so this would be hugely helpful for us.
Finally, I am looking into a nice recipe box to organize and store all of our recipes in one place, as opposed to loose scraps of paper. I also have on here a Birkenstock cleaning kit, to give my shoes a little facelift.

Up next: books. These are some books on my lists to read that I have not been able to find in my local library.

Shoes
Last but not least, shoes. Here are a few pairs of shoes I have been eyeing for the last several months that I have been unable to justify buying for myself.
I have been influenced and am looking for a pair of Gola Hawk Sneakers. These sneakers have been talked about as excellent for long days of walking, and I have done my fair share of days walking in a city clocking 8-10 miles. Next, are Teva Hurricane xlt2’s. I never ever thought I would become a Teva sandal girlie, but here we are. These sandals would be such an awesome alternative to my birks in the summertime.
In a post Barbie movie world, I have been wanting those pink big buckle Birkenstocks. I just feel like they’re so girlie and cute and I would love to tap into that energy this coming summer. Finally, I have been interested in Hoka Clifton 9’s. I recently bought On Cloud sneakers this past summer, but I love wearing sneakers casually with a pair of jeans. I just think these are so cute and I hear they are great for us ladies with a wider foot.
Some Extras
I do have a few other items that have been sitting in my Amazon cart for a while that I have been dying to purchase. I want to get some long sleeve fitted shirts to wear under my sweaters for work in winter/spring/fall. I have also been thinking about getting a kind of hair gel to get my baby hairs behind my hair in check when I wear a ponytail or bun. I would absolutely love a Marc Jacobs “The Tote” tote bag. I have a knockoff one, but as a bag lover, I would love the original thing. Speaking of bags, I have also had this shoulder bucket bag in my cart for ages. Maybe I’ll treat myself in the new year!
